Disclaimer
Momentum Screener is an educational screening tool. Nothing on this website is investment advice, research analysis or a recommendation of any security. Momentum strategies have historically suffered drawdowns of 30–50%.
Educational tool, not advice
This website applies a single, published, mechanical formula to historical stock prices and displays the results. Its purpose is to help you understand how momentum screening works — the formula, the evidence, the costs and the failure modes. It does not, and cannot, take your financial situation, goals or risk tolerance into account.
Nothing on this site constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, research analysis, or a solicitation or offer to transact in any security.
Not SEBI-registered
The operator of this website is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as a research analyst, investment adviser or in any other capacity. This website is not a research report and its contents are not research services as defined under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014 or the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013.
No recommendation of any security
A stock appearing in the rankings means one thing only: it currently scores highly on the published formula applied to historical prices. It is not a recommendation, rating, endorsement or opinion on the merits of that security. Rankings change every month, sometimes drastically, and a stock's presence or absence carries no forward-looking meaning.
Past performance
All performance figures on this site are historical backtests — simulations applied to past data under stated assumptions. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Backtested performance in particular has inherent limitations: it benefits from hindsight, survivorship bias and idealized execution, and real-world results would have been lower. Momentum strategies have historically experienced drawdowns of 30–50% and multi-year stretches of underperformance, and may do worse in the future.
Data accuracy
Price data comes from free sources (yfinance) and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It may contain gaps, errors, stale prices or missing corporate-action adjustments. Calculations derived from it — returns, volatilities, scores, rankings and backtest statistics — may therefore be wrong. Verify any figure independently before relying on it for anything.
